eventy years is a long time in anyone's life. In the lifetime of a nation, its even more significant. With our 70th Independence Day around the corner, we were humbled by the sheer enormity of our collective achievements as a country. So we thought we'd share our thoughts with all our loyal fans.
The rush of Rang de Basanti
It was just another busy exciting day in the Amazzy office, but things changed when we started talking about Independence Day. Alas, for most office-goers, it's just another long weekend. But when we paused for a minute and thought about the Incredible India we live in today, we realized just how far we've come as a country. A glance at the news is enough to show how many of today's leading businessmen and intellectual leaders are Indian. The world is sitting up and taking notice of India, and who doesn't love being noticed? The rush of attention sure feels great, and its created opportunities for those with entrepreneurial dreams.
Rewinding to just ten years ago, things were a lot different for ambitious young businesses like Amazzy. Sure, we were into manufacturing. Sure, we were churning out apparel for the fashion conscious. But we never had the kind of reach we have today. So what changed? For starters, the internet became a thing of the masses, almost everyone has access to it today. Startups are mushrooming everywhere, encouraged by the improved ease of doing business. With improved infrastructure and skilled workforce, setting up an office and launching new operations is a lot less harder now than it used to be. And there's not a single day we don't feel thankful for being a part of this wonderful phase of India's evolution.
Miles to go before we sleep
Of course, we haven't reached our potential yet. Neither as a country, nor as growing young businesses driving India's growth. It's not enough to just waken our patriotism when national holidays come around. Pride and loyalty need to be 365*24*7, so that we're proud participants in India's journey every step of the way. At Amazzy, we've taken the leap of faith by doing what we love. Our choices define where we go as a nation, and we've decided to make shoppers happy while creating employment and adding to the enthusiasm around startups. Maybe seventy years from now, we'll have an even better story to tell. Until then... we'll continue to work hard, and we'll continue to be proud of Being Indian. Jai Hind!
